SPLIT: Croatia Toronto Won The Second Croatian World Club Championship

The week of competition among best Croatian diaspora soccer teams run from June 26th to July 2nd in Split. The second Croatian World Club Championship, which gathered soccer teams from all around the world was organized by Croatian Soccer Federation, Croatian Heritage Foundation and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European integrations. Although city of Split is celebrating Hajduk’s 100th anniversary, the gathering of teams of diaspora got lots of attention from many city officials, leaders of Hajduk, and even President of Croatian Parliament Luka Bebic who attended the final game.Among eight clubs which competed in Split, USA was represented by SC Croat from San Pedro.

Paper "Libertas" fans fluttered in anticipation for the start of the 62nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival on 10 July 2011. The oldest cultural festival in Croatia took place on Luža square in front of St. Blaise's Church in Stari Grad, Dubrovnik's Old Town.
